qCOM SOFTWARE FOR ARTIC

Quadron's qCOM is an ASYNC communications port expander for Windows NT/2000/XP. Working in conjunction with ARTIC communication cards, it adds extra COM ports to desktop computers, workstations and servers. They provide asynchronous lines for connecting extra printers, modems, scanners, controllers, and other asynch devices.

HIGHLIGHTS OF qCOM FOR ARTIC CARDS:

Provide up to 32 additional COM ports for Windows NT/2000/XP
All ports are buffered on the ARTIC card
Automatic flow control mechanisms are available
Support data rates of up to 38.4 Kbits per second per port
Support an aggregate throughput up to 100 Kbits per second per ARTIC card
NT version is compatible with Windows applications that use standard ASYNC Serial Port Device Drivers
Standard Windows COM driver interface is provided.

Extra ports	Quadron's qCOM port expansion gives you up to 8 communications ports on each ARTIC card. Four card for Windows NT/2000/XP. Each block of ports is under control of the ARTIC's own CPU. All transmit, receive and modem status interrupts are processed on the ARTIC. This speeds up the overall system by removing character interrupt processing overhead from the host PC computer.
Data handling	The ARTIC card provides full transmit and receive buffering. Automatic flow control mechanisms are available. Data transmission speeds are individually selectable by port. Data rates up to 38.4 Kbits per second per port, and an aggregate throughput up to 100 Kbits per second for each ARTIC are supported.
API	The qCOM for NT provides access to its ports through a standard Windows WIN32 ASYNC Control Program API.
Compatibility	qCOM is not compatible with our other software.
